Dr. Mateo completed medical school at Instituto de Santo Domingo (INTEC) in Santo Domingo, DR. After completing her medical degree Dr. Mateo did her Internal Medicine, Preliminary, Residency at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York and her Neurology Residency at Hahnemann-MCP University Hospitals located in Philadelphia, New York.
Additionally Dr. Mateo completed two Fellowships: Adult Clinical Epilepsy & EKG at the University of Pennsylvania and Epilepsy mini-fellowship at Wake Forest University.
